The Alterini family has been in the tourist transportation business since 1921 and for three generations. After his early years of experience running a number of bus lines in the Casentino area, it was Dante Alterini who in 1946 moved the rental business to Florence, devoting himself exclusively to tourism.

The tradition of the Alterini Bus company is carried on today by sons Roberto and Claudio Alterini. It is precisely because of the helpfulness, reliability and attention to detail of the family management that the company has carved out a prominent role for itself today in the granturismo coach rental industry in Tuscany and Florence in particular. The company ALTERINI BUS specializes in the rental of grand touring coaches and chauffeur-driven cars and minibuses for domestic and international tourist services. Great attention is paid to compliance with drivers’ driving hours and rest periods. The hours of employment of the driver are regulated by law. The renter or passengers may not delay or interrupt the trip so that the driver violates the regulations. If this happens the renter is responsible for any additional costs necessary.

Regulation (EC) 561/2006 provides a set of EU rules for maximum daily driving times, as well as minimum daily and weekly rest periods for all drivers for transport of goods and passengers.
The purpose of this set of rules is to avoid distortion of competition, improve road safety and ensure good working conditions for drivers in the European Union.
